We used to go regularly to Da Franco about 15 years ago but then it declined in quality and we stopped going. We just decided on the off-chance to give it a try again and we were so glad we did! What a change and what great food. My test of a good authentic italian restaurant is the Carbonara. Not only did it have the right ingredients (guanciale, pecorino) but it was expertly prepared. The decor was lighter (before it was very theatrical) and the ambiance was of a pleasant neighborhood restaurant. We will definitely come back soon.
